Worms

Go outside and lie in the dirt
Its time that you make peace with the earth
Stick your face and hands inside the mud
And let the healing worms tickle your blood
Strong sense of pride and tears in my eyes as I watch you grow
Into the biggest tree this world has ever known
I'll teach you how to write, I'll teach you to read
I'll teach how to love someone that's in need
I'll show you how to put yourself in the place
Of someone who may have a different face
And before you thank me for what you've learned
Remember that I learned it straight from the worms
Everyone is the same
A name's just a name
You'll go insane trying to find a cause for your pain
Somebody to blame
But the answers still the same
And you will never get away from yourself
Even if you move somewhere else
Open up your eyes and stare at his face
Even if he's living in your place
Punched a couple mirrors in my day, I'm sorry to say
I thought that it would make him go away
Every night I dig my bed
6 feet in the ground I lay my head
Kiss the worms goodnight and dream a dream
Where I live in a world that ain't so mean
Wake up feeling fresh and optimistic
How can people feel so damn sadistic
When everybody's got the same kind of bones
And the only border is the ozone

Family Tree

I went and picked the ugliest leaf from the ugliest branch of the ugliest tree
I stared at that leaf till I couldn't see, went weak in the knees and fell into a dream
Now it's time to write down the rhyme, just in time before it's out of my mind
I dreamed the tree was my family, a family tree, what irony!
Place my head so it looks like he looks at me
Talk to him and I pretend that he listens to me
I went and picked the prettiest flower at the loveliest hour, smelled like milks that gone sour
Excused myself with a common cold, maybe my scent just still isnt too bold
But i got to thinking of the girls I've deflowered, breasts made of power but a look thats gone sour
Bad things they always feel the best, forget the good things that get lost with the rest
Place my head so it looks like he looks at me
Talk to him and I pretend that he listens to me
Tears are only lubricant for this machine
Place my heart inside my mouth and spit on him

Comatose

Walking down the street this afternoon
You hear whistling woo-hoo-hoo
So whatever, you dressed for the weather
Everybody makes mistakes
She was just a little girl when she was thrown into the world
But she's tough
But tough ain't gonna do a thang when you're up against a king
But you know that's the way it goes
Everybody's got something to hide
And my caves about a mile wide
I'll tell my secret to someone who can keep it
And girl I think you'll keep much more
Gonna make those sweet toes curl
Do things that make others hurl because you're my girl
And when you think I'll hit you again I'll surprise you with a diamond ring
And make you my permanent plaything
Driving down the street last afternoon
I start whistling to my favorite tune
Daylight, headlights, something doesn't smell right
I haven't had a fit in years
And now I'm sleeping up my time with nothing in this brain of mine
If you hear us let us know
If you feel this wiggle your toes
But you know that it's time for me to go

Draw Blank

Speaking of the time within our minds trying to find human kind
Thinking of the days we searched for ways to try and say that we're ok
Questions went unanswered lowered standards till we just sort of gave up
But old habits die hard get in my car and drive real far to the stars or Mars
1-2-3-4 Think of what you live for, and you draw blank
1-2-3-4 Think of who you live for, and you draw blank
The weather's getting better, Spring has sprung, and I feel young
Absorb the sun
But I know this feeling is just dealing borrowed time, yours and mine
Now I respond to every wrong thats done me with a simple shrug
I need no hug
Just sit back and wait for the attack with open arms and a good luck charm
1-2-3-4 Think of what you care for, and you draw blank
1-2-3-4 Think of who you care for, and you draw blank
I can see the wall and it's looking pretty tall, man
I think you're gonna fall and hit your head
But if it's what it takes then to give my mind a break then
Let's make it a game then, cause I'll put your dive to shame

Babysitter

Everybody wants a quick and rather painless death
But in return you gotta suffer until your last breath
I'm not here to tell you something that you already know
Maybe just a couple tips on which direction to go
We know each other so well we communicate with our eyes
Facial expressions give away when one of us tells a lie
But of course we talk, not with words but we say everything
Through initials though I like to call them love acronyms
She loves her babysitter, he reminds her of her dad
She tells him things that she could never tell Mom or Brad
She makes him yell at her and send her right upstairs to bed
And when she gets there she smiles and remembers her Dad(Dead)
Another stranded dog walking down the highway
I stop the car and try to catch it but it just runs away
One week later found him lying on the side of the road
I'll take him home and even give the flies my front door code
